Adreach is a South African outdoor advertising company helping brands turn everyday journeys into opportunities to be seen.
From Street Pole Ads and billboards to bus, mall and community advertising, we combine an extensive advertising network with the experience and strategic support to help businesses find the right places to show up.
Because outdoor advertising isn’t simply about having more sites. It’s about being in the right place, in front of the right people, often enough to be remembered.
Adreach has grown by building an outdoor advertising network around the places where South Africans actually move through their day. Over time, that footprint has expanded across formats, cities and communities, giving advertisers more ways to build meaningful physical visibility.
Brad Fisher founds Adreach. From the start the company ties outdoor advertising to socio-economic development. Our story began with a simple yet revolutionary idea. In partnership with the City of Johannesburg, Adreach launched Adopt-A-Light, using advertising revenue from street poles in affluent business nodes to install street lighting in underserved areas like Alexandra, once known as “Dark City”. This initiative not only improved safety and dignity but proved that commercial advertising could be a powerful engine for socio-economic upliftment.
The success of Adopt-A-Light inspired the formalisation of our model. We expanded the concept into Adopt-A-Project, creating a broader framework for community upliftment and mentorship that would define Adreach’s unique position in the market.
Adreach founded the Soweto Canoe and Recreation Club (SCARC) to give young people from disadvantaged backgrounds access to sport, life skills, and new opportunities. What began as a local initiative grew into a nationally recognised movement, even inspiring the acclaimed film Beyond the River. SCARC remains a shining example of how sport can transform lives and build stronger communities.
Adreach installed 5,000 Street Name Ads in Soweto. Clients’ adverts appeared above the street signs, giving brands meaningful association with a high-visibility community cause.
Adreach launched Wastepreneurs, a micro-business development platform focused on the recycling industry. By creating jobs, building skills, and reducing waste sent to landfills, Wastepreneurs empowered entrepreneurs while contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable South Africa.
We extended our commitment to environmental stewardship through Adopt-A-River in KwaZulu-Natal. This initiative engaged communities and waste pickers in cleaning beaches and rivers, protecting vital ecosystems while creating dignity and income for those involved.
The inspiring journey of SCARC was brought to life on the big screen in the feature film Beyond the River. Founded by Adreach’s Brad Fisher, the movie celebrated the power of sport, community, and second chances taking Adreach’s message of upliftment to audiences far beyond South Africa’s borders.
When the pandemic struck, Adreach mobilised rapidly alongside partners including SDI, the Momba Foundation, and the City of Johannesburg.
SDI Force distributed ten thousand food hampers to waste pickers and vulnerable families.
At the same time, Adreach launched Safe Passage to Work and School, a national campaign that equipped over 6,000 taxis and buses with vital ventilation and sanitising interventions and used our street pole network to educate the public on COVID-19 precautions.
In partnership with Peers and Fisher Optometrist and 101 Optical, Adreach launched Vision Drive. The initiative provided scholar transport for over 2,000 learners in Gauteng, along with free eye tests and spectacles. By removing barriers to education and healthcare, Vision Drive invested directly in South Africa’s next generation while strengthening social cohesion in Alexandra.
Adreach sponsored the annual Adreach Alex 10k in partnership with the Run Alex Athletics Club. This vibrant community event featuring 5km and 10km routes, fosters social cohesion and boosts local tourism. The event reclaims road space for people and celebrates the spirit of Alexandra.
Through this AI-driven platform, Adreach supported and uplifted 20 microbusinesses with practical AI skills development and ongoing mentorship. Fifteen of the twenty businesses achieved measurable improvements in their operations.
Building on the success of the 2020 Safe Passage campaign, we are extending the initiative to Cape Town’s Bree Street Precinct. In partnership with the SDI Development Trust and Young Urbanists NPC, this first inner-city street experiment brings the spirit of Safe Passage to street level, testing innovative urban design that prioritises people over vehicles.
Our partnership with Parktown Boys' High School began in 2023, starting with sponsorship of the rugby programme and support for facility upgrades. In 2026, we extended that commitment beyond sport with the launch of The Reach Higher Bursary, an annual three-year educational award for a Parktown student. Joe Kotwal, CEO of the Parktown Boys Foundation, noted that our support has strengthened the school from the rugby programme and facilities through to a student's academic future. We are proud to continue backing both sport and education at Parktown, and look forward to what the partnership brings next.
Our job isn’t simply to sell you advertising space. The Adreach team helps you understand the available opportunities, compare formats and locations, and build an outdoor campaign around what your business actually needs to achieve.
Behind every advertising site is a team helping campaigns move from an idea to something people can actually see in the real world.
Adreach’s shared-value CSI blueprint lets large companies sponsor street-pole campaigns for small and medium enterprises – while keeping their own branding on the artwork. You get outdoor visibility. An SME gets a campaign they couldn’t otherwise afford.
Your spend can support Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) objectives on your B-BBEE scorecard.
